Walk-In Cooler Skills Trainer

The Walk-In Cooler Skills Trainer provides a basic understanding of the applications of forced-air evaporators and water cooled condensers. The forced-air evaporator is a compact arrangement well suited for use in walk-in coolers. The trainer includes a hermetic compressor, dual-pressure controller, liquid receiver, water-cooled condenser, water pressure control valve, filter dryer, liquid indicator, thermostatic expansion valve, and forced-air evaporator. Components are mounted and stored on a mobile rack with a main control panel. The control panel includes a variable evaporator fan speed control, indicator light, compressor switch, power switch, and power breaker.

The Walk-In Cooler Skills Trainer is designed to teach the basic skills of wiring, piping, evacuating, charging, testing, and troubleshooting. It is designed to be assembled, tested, and disassembled by one or two students performing a series of tasks.
