How is light used to transmit sound? What is fiber optics? How are codes, data, voice, radio, and light transmitted through optical fibres and over laser beams?
The Fiber Optics and Lasers course teaches students the basic concepts of these technologies. Students perform experiments to observe these phenomena, demonstrate how light is used in communications, and explore career opportunities in these continually-expanding fields.
