Digital Communications 2 (91023)
The Digital Communications 2 Circuit Board includes the following five circuit blocks.
- Line Encoding
- Modulators
- Channel Simulator
- Sync Detector
- Modem
In addition, the circuit board contains the following features:
- A Channel Simulator circuit block and a bit error rate (BER) counter enables the student to evaluate the effects of noise on ASK- and PSK-modulated carrier signals.
- The Modem circuit block contains FSK / DPSK modem IC, which the student uses in a loop-back mode to observe the entire signal path.
- The communication signals are synchronized for easy display.
