Quality Control Level 1 - Tech-World

In Level 1, students gain hands-on testing experience by working with hundreds of standardized items contained in a "sample case." Beginning with simple mechanical measurement tools and progressing to sophisticated electronic and digital instruments, students measure parts, electrical components, and electronic circuits against drawings, schematics, and actual products to determine quality compliance.

They practice with computer/tool interfacing, which increases the ease and accuracy of taking measurements. In the process, they learn how to determine levels of accuracy by discussing concepts such as tolerances and sampling.

In addition to developing measurement and data analysis skills, students are introduced to the variety of quality standards in place in today. By studying concepts such as ISO 9000, students realize how the skills they have learned are implemented in modern manufacturing. In this way, they gain a true understanding of the pivotal role that quality control plays in all aspects of industry.
