Manufacturing Processes Level 1 - Tech-World

In the Manufacturing Processes CELL, students get a comprehensive view of modern manufacturing. Through careful observation and practice, they experience the evolution of manufacturing processes from reliance on manual tools to the application of sophisticated computer-controlled equipment in the CAD/CAM procedures.

With high-precision guidance they use both manual and computerized equipment to create their own marketable products. After displaying proficiency with traditional manual manufacturing tools, students in Level 1 get hands-on training in CNC programming.

Using sophisticated software programs, students create their own designs using G- and M-codes on the CNC Mill. This final step in basic CNC programming demonstrates the extraordinary speed and precision of sophisticated technology when compared to traditional manufacturing processes.

At the end of the first year of study, Tech-World Manufacturing Processes students have gained a solid foundation in the high tech skills that are so important to workers in today's modern manufacturing plants.
