Electricity and Electronics Level 1 - Tech-World
In this CELL, students proceed rapidly from ideas to applications. They begin by learning foundational concepts, such as direct current (DC), alternating current (AC), and electromagnetism.
They gain first-hand knowledge of the nature and relationships of voltage, current, resistance, and power utilizing a variety of safe and sophisticated equipment and training systems. Included in this training is the award winning FACET program recognized worldwide as the leader in electronics training systems.
Using the FACET system and an oscilloscope, students gain experience wiring circuits, testing voltages, and troubleshooting the system. They then apply this knowledge in first-hand practical experiences wiring 2- and 3-way switches, outlets, and sockets.
Level 1 culminates in a study of the electronics of industrial sensors. Sensors are the eyes and ears of the industrial world, and understanding how they function is vital for all workers in the high tech manufacturing workplace. The ability to teach the theory of electricity and electronics and to immediately apply it to real world simulations makes the training system exemplary.
