Parenting & Human Development

How does a child develop before it is born and afterwards? What are the stages of development in human life? What does it mean to be a good parent? In this module, students examine the issues that influence human growth and development. They explore the principles of human growth and development, and study the conditions that have an effect on it. Students then are introduced to the challenges and skills of parenting and the stages of human development. Students also consider the roles and responsibilities of parenting, and explore the impact of good parenting on strengthening the safety and welfare of children and families.
