Controls and Sensors (40013-70)
Through various activities, students learn how technology is controlled. They observe the function of controls and sensors by assembling and disassembling various automated devices.
Students apply and enhance their developing knowledge by completing several projects. Using a fischertechnik® Control System, they build models and flowcharts of traffic lights, and operate what they have created. Other models that students produce — including a welding robot, hand dryer, and garage door opener — further demonstrate how controls and sensors make these types of mechanisms work.
