Fluid Power (40020-70)
In this module, students learn and demonstrate the principles of hydraulic and pneumatic power, including force, area and pressure, buoyancy, surface tension, and several related scientific laws.
Lab-Volt's Fundamentals of Fluid Power trainer provides the tools for these demonstrations. The equipment includes check, flow control, directional control, and relief/sequence valves; a vacuum pressure gauge; and single- and double-acting cylinders.
Through other hands-on experiments, students perform mathematical calculations and design pneumatic circuits. They also learn about schematic symbols and how they are used to diagram fluid power systems.
