Manufacturing Processes Level 2 - Tech-World
In Level 2, students develop advanced programming skills using the CNC Lathe and Mill in conjunction with one of the most versatile and widely used CAD/CAM programs available.
They create three-dimensional images, translate these images into code, and download the code to the CNC machines for processing. They then apply these skills to the production process as they develop a product idea and determine which type of manufacturing system is best for its production.
Students use flowcharting software to create a plant layout that utilizes Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing policies to ensure efficient and profitable production. They will become familiar with various continuous-improvement tools and quality-assurance methods, and will apply business management principles to real-life manufacturing situations.
With the combination of practical knowledge and high-level management skills, students will leave the Manufacturing Processes CELL with a solid foundation for competing in the global manufacturing environment today and in the future.
