Solar Power Technology Training System (8805)

The Solar Power Technology Training System mainly consists of the Solar Panel Test Bench, Model 8805, and the Solar Panel, Model 8806. By installing the Solar Panel on the Solar Panel Work Bench, students can conduct several experiments on solar panel operation and performance indoor using the artifical light source of the test bench.

The Solar Panel can also be installed on a tripod (purchased separately) to perform extra optional outdoor experiments using sunlight. All electrical connections are made using flexible, PVC-insulated leads terminated with miniature (2 mm) banana plugs. Two multimeters (purchased separately) are required to perform electrical measurements.

The Solar Power Technology Training System is available in two variants: Model 8805-A and Model 8805-B.

Model 8805-A is a stand-alone system that includes all the equipment (except the multimeters) required to perform the indoor exercises contained in the student manual. Model 8805-B is an add-on to the following two Lab-Volt training systems: 0.2-kW Electromechanical Training System (EMS), Model 8001, and Computer-Assisted 0.2-kW Electromechanical Training System (EMS), Model 8006. Model 8805-B contains the same equipment as Model 8805-A (excluding the workstation).
